Clear or partly sunny skies with minimal wind give us the absolute best conditions for a shoot. Bright, even daylight helps showcase the details of your property, while calm winds keep our flights smooth and precise. If bad weather or high winds pop up on shoot day, we’ll simply reschedule for the next clear window.

Do I need to be on-site for the shoot?

Your presence on-site isn't required, though you're welcome to attend if you prefer. Our team is fully equipped to capture top-tier media independently. Keep in mind that attending in person may slightly extend the timeline due to extra coordination. Before we schedule, we’ll jump on a quick call to go over your goals, specific angles, and project details. Most clients find it easiest to handle everything remotely this way.

How will I get my files?

For most projects, we will deliver edited digital photos to you via Google Drive within 24-48 hours following the completion of the shoot. If your project requires additional post-processing work including video or image editing, delivery time can take several days. You will receive an email that includes a link to your online photo gallery where you can download all of these files to a local device.

Our high-definition aerial photo and video coverage provides clear, detailed visual documentation for home surveys, roof condition checks, and ongoing project monitoring.

Can you fly near airports?

Accepted Answer

Usually, yes. While certain airspace surrounding airports has strict height limits or flight restrictions, we can operate near—and sometimes directly at—most airport locations once proper FAA airspace authorization is secured. Please note that if a formal airspace waiver is required, securing authorization from the FAA can take up to 7 days, so planning ahead is key. If you aren't sure whether your project site falls within restricted airspace, give us a call or send us a message. We're happy to run an airspace check for your location!

Can you capture entire property in one photo?

Accepted Answer

Coverage depends on your property size and overall project goals. By FAA regulations, we can fly up to 400 feet above ground level in most uncontrolled airspace. From that maximum altitude, a single top-down (nadir) shot captures roughly 20 acres. If you prefer angled (oblique) shots angled toward the horizon, a single photo can capture a significantly wider perspective of the surrounding area.

What file formats do you deliver for photos and video?

Sunshine State Aerial Inspections prioritizes maximum image quality on every flight. We shoot raw photos in DNG format and capture high-definition video in standard MP4 or MOV files. Following the shoot, we professionally edit your RAW images and deliver the final photo assets as polished, full-resolution JPGs.
